Dr. Mikayla Foerster, PT, DPT
Physical Therapist
Year I joined CT:
2022
Why I became an PT:
I became interested in physical therapy when I was a kid. My younger sister was born with Down syndrome when I was 7 years old. I observed as several therapists worked with my sister teaching her how to roll, sit, stand and talk. The therapists included me in the therapy sessions and taught me how I could help my sister. I held her hands as she was learning to walk, taught her how to ride a bike without training wheels, and have spent countless hours pitching softballs and passing the volleyball in the yard and shooting baskets in the driveway. My sister has impacted the way I value helping others. I strive to help promote independence, increase participation, and enhance opportunities for kids.
More about me:
I was born and raised in small town Kansas. Over the years, I have played/participated in almost every sport (except hockey, which I hear in kind of a big deal up here). I enjoy the outdoors, hiking, and exploring new places. I also enjoy playing board games and cards with family and friends.
Special training, certification, and interests:
I have my certification in Dry Needling.
