Mary Anderson, OTD, OTR/L
Mary Anderson
Occupational Therapist Registered/Licensed
Year I joined CT:
2019
Why I became an OT:
I always wanted to purse a career where I would help individuals develop and enhance independence, confidence, and quality of life. I was first exposed to occupational therapy in high school and I quickly became excited about this career field, so I am thrilled to begin my career in occupational therapy where I began my passion for OT!
More about me:
I received my BS in Psychology from the University of Wisconsin La Crosse and my Doctorate of Occupational Therapy from Huntington University in Fort Wayne, Indiana. I have had work experience in in-home services as well as ABA, but my most rewarding experience was working at a recreation therapy summer camp for children and adults with disabilities and diagnoses. In my free time, I love to spend time with my family and friends exploring the Twin Cities, outdoor activities, reading, going to concerts, and travelling when I have the opportunity.
Special certifications/training:
I have strong interests in all components of pediatric occupational therapy, specifically trauma, self-regulation, sensory integration, and feeding. I am looking forward to expanding my knowledge and working among many talented professionals
