Meet Our Team

Taylor King, MAOT, OTR/L

I graduated from St. Catherine University with an undergraduate degree in Exercise and Sports Science and continued my education there to obtain a Master of Arts in Occupational Therapy. My practice areas of interest include sensory processing, fine motor strengthening, reflex integration, regulation, executive functioning, play, and social skills.

More about me!
When I am not at work, you will most likely find me spending time with my husband Mike and our dog Rosa. As a family we like to spend quality time going on walks, gardening, exploring different farmers markets and local vendors, watching football, puzzle and game nights with friends, spending time with family especially all of our nieces and nephews, challenging each other to any and all sports we can try (currently on a pickleball streak), and preparing the house with a variety of DIY projects to welcome our first child this fall. I love picking up any hobby/craft I can find to learn a new skill whether that is cross stitching, wood burning, sewing, embroidery, creating felt busy books for my nieces and nephews, creating custom shirts, upcycling clothes or furniture found while thrifting, exploring new ways to use my Cricut, or jumping back into reading.

Why I became an OT:
I became an OT after having observed an early intervention OT work in my childhood home with a child my Mom had been babysitting for 3 years. I was in love with the way that they used play and items we had around us to help this child reach their goals and celebrate every win, both big and small. I always knew I wanted to work with children and being able to combine science and focusing on what is meaningful and important to each individual and their family felt like the perfect fit. I love being able to use therapeutic use of self to meet every client and family where they are at and build relationships with them to get us to meet challenges head on through playful interactions.
