Kristin Westbrock

I graduated from Gustavus Adolphus College with a BA in English. I’ve been the clinic manager at Children’s Theraplay for over 25 years.

I love traveling with my husband Mike, family, and friends. Some of my favorite destinations have been the canals of Venice, Angel’s Landing in Zion National Park, dog sledding in Alaska, and Jökulsárlón glacial lagoon in Iceland.

When I’m at home, I’m enjoying time with our four Italian Greyhounds. Because there can never be enough dogs (or enough chaos!) we also dogsit for a menagerie of small dogs, and I teach basic obedience classes at a local dog training school. I am very happy puttering in the gardens, drinking too much coffee, repotting a houseplant, reading a book, or cooking a meal for someone I love.

What is your favorite thing about being "behind the scenes" at a therapy clinic? 
I’m grateful to be able to contribute by solving logistical problems, supporting therapists so they can do their best work, and making connections for families. I hope that my work makes therapy more accessible for parents as they navigate the wild landscape of health insurance and therapy scheduling.
